It still amazes me that people think berating the person behind the counter will change the weather or repair a mechanical issue.
My cyclical response to traveling for work:
At first, I was thrilled at the "adventure" of it all, but briefly.
Then, it seemed it didn’t matter where I went, wherever " there" was, it wasn’t home.
One day, I’d been home for a week and realized I had itchy feet.
Like there was somewhere I should be going.
Now, it seems I don’t care where I go, just Somewhere Else.
It seems I truly have embraced living on the road.
